Young Volunteer Makes Huge Difference at JobTrain!

JobTrain Celebrates Outstanding Achievement

Cimone Putnam is an outstanding 12 year old. Unlike most kids her age, she's been spending her summer volunteering. Filing, organizing documents, you name it - and Cimone has been doing an outstanding job of it at JobTrain.

Cimone's mother, Reshma, is an integral part of the Development Department at JobTrain.  It didn't take long for Cimone to roll up her sleeves and want to help JobTrain's mission of helping individuals most in need to succeed.

Her efforts have been well appreciated by various departments and by countless staff members. Cimone has done an amazing job in in performing a myriad of tasks. Her upbeat and "can do" demeanor is truly impressive and today we celebrate her selfless and outstanding achievement and dedication to our organization.

JobTrain Youth Make Difference at Food Bank!

JobTrain has been a proud partner of Second Harvest Food Bank. Earlier this year, our incredible staff and students worked collectively to donate approximately 800 pounds of food for families in need.

We believe that summer internships are critically important for our youth and for helping to create a thriving community. JobTrain was able to provide wonderful work opportunities for ten summer interns through funding from the Kimball Foundation. It was terrific being able to place some of our interns at our local Second Harvest Food Bank.

JobTrain is extremely proud of these interns! They worked diligently and compassionately, and greatly impressed their supervisor:
"We are so grateful to have such wonderful young adult interns who have such a BIG heart. They are absolutely marvelous and have great personalities. Their work ethic is outstanding. Thank you for helping to make these young people become successful adults." - Rita Guntern, Volunteer Services Manager, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties
